And the Giant Miffy Goes To....

Guys, this giveaway stuff rocks!!! Except for the part where I can only give the prize to one person. That, I do not like so much, eh?

But I did get to use this totally awesome tool to choose the winner. I feel so official and sciencey. Like Publisher's Clearing House. Without the million dollars. 'cause while the Toybox is nine different kinds of cool and all, they are not made of money, you know...

You want to know who won? Well it was pretty hard to choose, being there were only two comments. But what comments! Both are so pretty and deserving of a huge plush toy. There was the lovely Mama Lang, first to comment and thus assigned the integer 1. There was the to-die-for Jenny, who in addition to being a life-long friend, is also a pretty kick-ass half marathoner. Is marathoner a real word? She was assigned the integer 2, because she was the second comment. Very complex, but I am pretty smart.

A quick aside. Big Red is having an epic tantrum right now, because I just rearranged the folding gate around our Christmas tree and he can no longer get in to play with the ornaments. Those enraged screams you're hearing are not, in fact, two quarreling wolverines. They are my son. Jealous yet? What's with the foot tapping and the get on with it motions? Oh, the winner. Sorry. I'm easily distracted. There was this time when I...oh, okay.

Congratulations, Mama Lang!!! Come up to the podium and give a speech thanking God for bringing you this far. No? Okay, email me your shipping info and I will get your ginormous stuffed rabbit in the mail. Jenny, you know I love you, so as a consolation prize I am buying your children percussion instruments for Christmas! Cymbals for Lucy, I think...

First, allow me to congratulate Mama Lang... were I wearing a hat, I'd tip it in the general direction of your IP address:) Secondly, fess up Jen, I lost because you really have never forgiven me for that bike-riding incident... right? I wouldn't have either, 'casue I'm STILL laughing :)

Peace and love and all things plushy!

You caught me. I've spent many years devising my revenge. MWAH-hahahahahaha.
Just kidding. And I knew you were still laughing about that. Because you're like that. But I love you anyway.

Wow, I won something? Now I have to figure out which child it will go to. Hmmmm...maybe I'll keep it myself!

oh yeah, and I can't email you, cause I don't know your email and I can't find it on your site and it's probably there staring me in the face but I'm too blind to know where to look. But mine is easy. It's my user name at gmail.com :) Thanks!

Welcome to My World

It's a crazy one. Here's the guide.

Mr. Clairol: My darling husband and love of my life. He's a mechanic, dyes his hair platinum blond and drives to work on a Vespa. I swear he isn't gay.

Drama Queen: My fourteen year old daughter who is frighteningly brilliant and gorgeous to boot. Of course, I am her mother.

Missy Hoohaw: The four year old daughter. She loves animals and roughhousing and earned her name by being a 28 year old Marine in a preschooler's body. No, she doesn't swear and drink. But she can run twenty miles in the rain and give a mighty Hoo-rah.

Big Red: Our toddler son, who is redheaded and proud of it. He's got a healthy temper and the sweetest smile this side of the Mississippi, so it evens out. I was worried about defending him from his sisters at first. Now, I worry about the girls.

The Beast: Our dog, who is a mutt, heavy on the Great Dane. He's named after a heavy metal guitarist in my husband's all time favorite band. This says it all, believe me.

This is my life. Try not to be too jealous.
